Lift at home

Organize a community Lift

At Lift we have considerably extended our community in the past years, adding social features to our site, launching a conference in Korea, one in France. Lifters are all around the globe, living in different locations, sharing a common envy to meet, brainstorm, share and explore. After several meet ups happened (in Zurich, Toronto, Lausanne) we decided to encourage these gatherings, to structure and promote them. Here comes Lift at Home!

Speak

Suggest yourself as a speaker

Don't hesitate to ping us with an idea for a speech. Please keep the following in mind:
- we love great ideas and untold stories, if nobody has ever seen your speech it is a big plus
- we like unusual, funny and surprising talks
- each event has a theme, and you have more chance to be speaking if your talk fits it
- make sure you agree to our speakers policy. The most important rule is the no pitch no self-promotion rule.
- we get hundreds of suggestions and only have around 25 slots per edition, so don't feel bad if your idea is not accepted. We keep all suggestions into our database so you might get a call from us at a later date.

• Speak in the open program

Half of the program of each Lift is managed by the community. Are you attending one of the conferences? Go to the homepage, and click on "Open Program", all the currently available options will be there. Check past Open Programs for inspiration: lift09, Lift France 09, Lift08

Support

Volunteer for a conference

We welcome a large number of volunteers for each event! You will see how the conference is organized, meet cool people, and you can even see a few sessions!

Partner with Lift

We offer visibility, connections and ideas in exchange for support to our events. Organizations like the European Commission, Mozilla, IEC WattWatt, HP, Microsoft, Alcatel Lucent, Orange, EPFL, City and Canton of Geneva, RATP, Bouygues Telecom and Alpict are among the partners of Lift.

Suggest

Suggest a speaker

We like to rely on the LIFT community to do an as exhaustive as possible trend-watch. Use the Suggestion form to tell us about a great speaker you saw, an amazing book you read, a theme you think we should be talking about. All suggestions are then used to build the events' programmes.

Don't forget to look at previous suggestions for inspiration.
