Industrial IdeaProduction or «Why is "Dare to Share" the key to reliable innovation?»

January 21, 2008 - 02:40 — Samuel Mueller

In our workshop, we will consider the history of the industrial revolution and will examine how the same principles that supported the rise of industrial production can be applied in the field of ideas and innovation.
We will further introduce you to the way Industrial IdeaProduction creates ideas at the push of a button. Based on the key principle «dare to share» we will demonstrate in a few practical exercises how collaborative creativity techniques can optimise the quantity and quality of idea creation.
This will not only bring us to new insights for the need of structured ideation processes but opens the discussion on sense and non-sense of intellectual property rights for reliable innovation.

Our workshop consists of an introductory presentation titled «The Industrial Revolution of Ideas» highlighting the different steps «manufacturing - proto-industralization - industrialization - digitalization – virtualization» along the model of the world's first IdeaFactory BrainStore.
The presentation is followed by a range of interactive exercises corresponding to BrainStore’s pattern «boost – compress – select». The output of the exercises will then be examined in a discussion.

The workshop will be held by Samuel Mueller and Florian Loertscher.
