Today's conferences are not conferences. They are communities of people who share the same interests and values. At Lift we have considerably extended our community over the past years, launching a conference in Korea and one in France. Lifters are all around the globe, living in different locations, sharing a common envy to meet, brainstorm, share and explore. We decided to encourage and promote community based meet-ups around the world. Here comes Lift@home!
Quick links: Rules | Propose an event | Upcoming events | Past events
• Organize your own Lift somewhere that matters to you
• Choose the program, the format, the date, the number of attendees, etc
• Post your event on liftconference.com, the community will notice and register
• Have a great time, be inspired and meet amazing people!
Long-term relationships are based on mutual benefits. Here is what we bring you, and what you get from us.
• Exposure
We will make sure people know you are hosting an event, and you will have a full house. Your event will be posted on a website receiving 180'000+ visits per month.
• Tools
We will provide you with all the tools you need: a website to post the program and manage registrations, a place to have your pictures and videos noticed, templates for your slides, etc.
• Process
We have been running events for a few years now. We will share our experience to make sure you and your audience have a great time!
• Animation
You make our community more active. We might even attend your event if it is not too far from us and if you have a guest room :)
• Inspiration
We are always looking for new ideas and speakers. We look forward to read the reports and see the videos of your events, maybe we could find great new speakers or ideas for Lift...?
• Extend
You help us reach people who do not know or who can not come to Lift. We hope they will catch the virus and attend our next conference!
Anytime people interact together it is important to set rules that we all agree to follow. Here are the rules for Lift@home:
• To organize a Lift@home you must have attended a Lift conference at least once. Lift is special, and we want to make sure you know the values and processes before gathering the community.
• No promotion is allowed during events.
• Participants must be respectful of the work that the organizer has put into running the event, and provide constructive feedback to make future events even better.
• A free event is not necessarily the best way to have great audience involvement, but sometimes you may want to invite a foreign speaker and cover their travel expenses. However, all events should be non-profit (and the immense majority are free to attend).
Did we convince you? Feel like organizing a Lift@home? Be one of the first to host Lifters at your place! Tell us when, who, what, and where, and then let's get together :)
Here is what you need to submit your Lift@home event:
• A brief description of your event
• A location and date
• Speaker(s) and a theme
• Or you can also gather Lifters with no predefined program (and see what happens)
