Gen Kanai is Director of Asia Business Development for Mozilla, a California based non-profit which manages and freely distributes the popular Mozilla Firefox web browser. Firefox is the free and open source web browser of choice for over 150 million Internet users worldwide in over 50 different languages. Gen is also Director of Marketing for Mozilla Japan. Prior to Mozilla, Gen worked for Digital Garage, Technorati Japan, Sony Marketing of Japan, Sony Electronics Inc. and Toyota Motor Sales, USA, Inc. Gen is a fellow of the US-Japan Foundation's "US-Japan Leadership Program" as well as a fellow of the Asia Society's "Asia 21 Young Leaders Initiative." Gen has a BA from Dartmouth College, was born and raised in New York City and currently resides in Tokyo.
