After a year in the department of Physics, I obtained a degree in Educational Studies from the third University of Rome (RomaTre), Italy, in 2001, with a thesis on the Usability of the Children's Internet Sites.
Then I worked as a research assistant at the newborn Media Lab Europe, in Ireland, spending several periods at the MIT Media Lab in Boston. He finally obtained a Master of Arts by Research from the St. Patrick's College, Dublin City University, in 2004, with a thesis on the Microworlds for Ecology Explorations.
In 2003 I joined the CRAFT team at EPFL. I am currently conducting research on remote gesturing. Although my main interests lie on human learning, I tend to publish in conferences such as CHI, E-CSCW, DIS, etc.
