We had a small problem on our registration website this past week-end and some of you could not get your tickets. Sorry about that, everything is fixed and back to normal on amiando.com/lift-asia-08!
As Lift Asia will be both in English and Korean we wanted to translate the site's most important pages to Korean, and Channy Yun - who is one of the key members of the team in Asia - took the challenge and created a korean version of the site.
So if you speak Korean check the 프로그램, read the 참가 방법 if you need help with hotels and planes, and don't forget to 사전 등록!
The RSS feeds are back online after a technical problem that prevented updates to reach our subscribers for a few weeks (oops). Sorry about that. The feeds should work perfectly again, and you can subscribe on http://feeds.feedburner.com/liftconference.
The problem is now solved.
If you go to the secure pages of this site you will get a security warning as we are in the process of renewing the site's SSL certificate. Sorry about the hassle, accept the temporary certificate and you can proceed to payment safely.
You can see every contribution you made (and edit them) very easily, by clicking on the Track link of your account page (accessible via the My account link on the left side of the screen).

This is very handy if you want to review your venture proposition, see if comments were made on your post on the community blog, and it even works on your buddies! Click on My buddylist, then on the Recent Post tab, and you will see what your close friend contributed to the community recently, with an RSS available!

See ya at Lift08
No post on the new layout, so I am writing a comment here: I really like it. More than the one before.
I believe the new layout shows really well how multicolored and diverse the conference ought to be (the changing lift logo and the navigation bar) as well as who represents the foundation for this diversity: the participants, shown in the background.
Any thoughts?
One important information I forgot to mention: for the first time this year and thanks to the cool Amiando ticketing system, you can pay your registration via a bank transfer. Even if you do not hold a credit card, registration is possible and simple.
This will be especially helpful to all those working inside the UN system. We're getting better, one feature at a time ;)
Marco created a FAQ page where frequent questions are answered. One key thing was to explain better the rules of the community blog, so here is the corresponding excerpt:
What is the LIFT Community blog ?
Every LIFT community member gets a personal blog. The LIFT Community blog aggregates all the posts published by community members into one single RSS feed. Subscribe to this feed to get the pulse of the LIFT Community
What should I post to the LIFT Community blog ?
You can freely write on the LIFT Community blog to tell the community about an idea or person you found interesting, point to an article you wrote, or tell us about an event we shouldn't miss. This is your space, feel free to use it! Please do not post commercial information, as this probably won't interest the community and may backfire.
How can I contribute to the LIFT Community blog ?
To blog on the LIFT website, simply navigate to the Submit a blog entry page and fill up the form.
Hurray, we managed to install a cool payment system, an SSL certificate for added security, and put in place an easy workflow for those who want to register for LIFT08.
Sign up now, and if you participated in LIFT06 or LIFT07 I am sending you a special code for an added discount, check your email!
This year the pricing will be like this:
This price structure is designed to push you to register early. LIFT is an event where the money paid by the participants is reinvested in the event, so the earlier we have the money, the better the event will be. It is not very useful to have 20% of registrations happening in the last week when you know that ordering tshirts takes 3 weeks. You see what I mean.
